The 2025 Bedfordshire Individual Chess Championship is a 6 round Swiss-system tournament for the best and the rest of chess players from the league. The competition dates back to 1927. The last champion from Luton was Andrew Perkins in 1982. The 2024 Championship was close, and won by Michael Botteley from Bedford. Luton's Tommy O'Brien and Julian Hudson scored a high place finish on equal points with top Bedford player Steve Ledger. And Luton's Aleksandar Juhasz won the 1st place rating prize.
