Luton Chess Club Ladder Competition 2024/2025 had a lot of activity this week at the club. 12 players had turned up to play one or two or even three games in the evening, giving competition organser plenty of work the next day working out the scoring.
Richard Lewis currently tops the table after winning all three of his games in the evening, followed by Milen who won both his games. Everyone else had combinations of wins, draws and some losses of course. But none currently had a worse score than my two losses putting me at the bottom of the ladder.

Ladder Competition Rules 2024/2025
The more games are played, the more the table will change to reflect the strength of the players. The player who is on the top of the Ladder at the end of May 2025 will have their name engraved on a new trophy. This looks to be a fascinating competition, and who knows who the winner will be. I'll wager a ha'penny bun to a pound of dried bananas that name isn't going to be mine.
